The Content of Bioactive Compounds of Bahahoang Stem Bark (Kleinhopia hospita L.) and Lambaku Bark (Hibiscus tiliaceus L.)Which are used as Ingredients in Traditional Cuisine Tambaq
Abstract
Indonesia is a mega-biodiversity country that has a biodiversity that has
the potential to be developed as traditional medicine. Two of the 30,000 kinds
of medicinal plants, namely Bahahoang (Kleinhovia hospita L.) and Lambaku
(Hibiscus tiliaceus L.). The purpose of writing this paper is to examine the
benefits and uses of bioactive compounds found in the bark of Bahahoang
(Kleinhivia hospita L.) and Lambaku (Hibiscus tiliaceus L.) stem bark which
is used as ingredients in traditional "Tambaq" cuisine. The research method
used is an inventory in the field and literature study. The data obtained are
presented in the form of pictures and tables, then described in the form of a
narrative. The results of the study show that these two types of plants which
are used as ingredients in "Tambaq" cuisine have several bioactive compounds
such as terpenoids, phenolics, triterpenoids, and flavonoids. These compounds
can be used to treat and treat various diseases and can boost the immune
system.
