UJI AKTIVITAS ANTIOKSIDAN EKSTRAK BIJI ALPUKAT (Persea americana Mill.) ASAL ENREKANG SULAWESI SELATAN DENGAN METODE DPPH

Abstract

Avocado seeds are known for containing secondary metabolites that have the potential as antioxidants. Research on antioxidant activity testing of avocado seed extract (Persea americana Mill.) from several regions in Indonesia has been carried out but from Enrekang, South Sulawesi Province, it has not been carried out so that in this study a study was conducted to test the antioxidant activity of avocado seeds from Enrekang, South Sulawesi Province. This study aims to determine the IC50 value of avocado seed extract from Enrekang, South Sulawesi Province. Antioxidant assay by binding DPPH free radicals using a visible spectrophotometer at a wavelength of 515 nm. The results of the antioxidant activity test of the ethanol extract of avocado seeds (Persea americana Mill.) with the DPPH method had an IC50 value of 37.7475±0.0441 ppm.
